Do Kitchens Go On The Second Floor

Do kitchens go on the second floor.

There are so many. The only solution i ve found is to go up through our second floor and through the attic. On a second floor try to position it so it backs onto a bathroom. I am in southwest us and i ve never seen a second floor kitchen so if you live in a place where every kitchen is on the second floor forgive my ignorance.

Don t ignore the importance of good ventilation. Do consider where you can tie in to existing plumbing. To make up for lost cabinet space there are a few open shelves in front of the window which add storage but still let light in. Close to kitchens and washrooms obviously makes sense.

Don t put the laundry too close to sleeping areas. Yes i think it s odd for a kitchen to be on a second floor. The noise will keep you awake. Laundry generates significant.

Why are kitchens never on the second floor of a house. Because the kitchen is on the second floor it gets a ton of natural light. I think the other question you should ask is what that will do to the re sale value of the home. You won t likely own this home forever and when you go to sell it you will have a hard time doing so because the general public won t go for having a second floor kitchen.
