Cut Holes In Gutters

This is the thing that connects the gutter and downspout together so it is important that it is placed correctly and securely.

Make sure the patch is large enough to overlap the hole by at least 1 in 2 5 cm on all sides. Then i used a fine tooth metal cutting blade in my jig saw. If the patch isn t already small enough to lay flat against the inside of the gutter and over the hole cut it down to size with your metal snips. Cut the gutter from the bottom with a fine toothed hacksaw.

Step 1 is to draw the shape of the hole and drill s few holes around that shape. Place the blade in the 90 degree or right angle grooves of the miter box or on the line drawn with the square and cut the vinyl gutter firmly. Once you cut the patch it may have sharp corners and edges. On the bottom of the gutter itself take a pencil or marker and trace the outline of a sleeve.
